(Hopefully) good sports essays and observations for good sports by a guy who tries (and can sometimes fail) to be a good sport.

Not much to tell.

Another Former NBA Player Goes Bankrupt

Derrick Coleman is broke.

What's even more surprising is that he listed only about $1 million in assets. Coleman had a long NBA career and at times drew a salary in eight figures. How do you spend/invest yourself into a predicament where almost all of that goes away?

It's a sad, and too frequent, tale.

I think he eats a great deal, and maybe he has expensive tastes.

Perhaps his pal Larry Brown will give a job (not as a player, obviously). Rumors are Brown might be headed back to Philly.
