Perhaps all of the above.
This is huge news. For U.S. sports fans, picture the Yankees from say 1965-1974, when they couldn't do anything right and when an obscure Tampa shipbuilder named George Steinbrenner bought the team from CBS for about $8 million. This is where Liverpool is close to being right now.
With a historic cache that might not be on the same perch as, say the Yankees in baseball, but still pretty high up there.
