Ichiro Suzuki went 5-5 today, so with 27 games remaining he needs only 35 hits to break George Sisler's record.
I posted on him the other day, September 1, when I wrote that he needed 46 hits in September to break George Sisler's record of 257 hits in a season. He's well on his way, as in the past four games he has had 11 hits!
Keep on watching Ichiro Suzuki. As I posted the other day, he's moving with great speed toward a record that has stood for over 80 years.
