Every Team Needs a Good Owner

Now Oklahoma State has one.

Lookout Sooners.

Lookout rest of the Big 12.

Lookout rest of the country, for that matter.

The streets of Stillwater are paved with gold.

Oil money, actually.

Click the link and read all about it.

Prof:

To quote an insightful and knowledgeable blogger, "you win with players" not with money and facilities.

And T. Boone Pickens or no, OSU remains in Stillwater, OK...

Thanks, Curmudgeon.

You make a good point, of course, and quoted an expert in so doing. Phil Knight's emergence onto the Oregon scene did elevate their football program, so it will be interesting to see if Pickens' largesse will attract the types of coaches and players to OK State that obvious his donation suggests he hopes they will.

I don't know much about OK State except I have a cousin who went there and it did right by him. Okay, so it's not Austin or Los Angeles, but USC isn't in Laguna Beach the last time I checked.
